Our Story

HablaSeguro was established with the purpose of addressing the issue of unreported violence within the Latino community, where the fear of potential retaliation often silences those who have suffered. Our mission is to create a safe and welcoming space for individuals come forward and report horrific crimes that they may have experienced or witnessed. We aim to empower the voices of those who feel they need to be heard and to ensure that their stories are acknowledged. By working together, we can cultivate a supportive environment that encourages open dialogue and ultimately leads to a safer community for everyone. The tragic story of Cenia, a young woman who was kidnapped and murdered, serves as a reminder of the critical need for individuals to speak and for the community to support those who find themselves in dangerous situations.
